Please provide more details.

Detailed Answer:
Hi, thanks for asking from HCM for your health related queries

I can help you but if you can elaborate your symptoms with details then that would be better for a comprehensive management. Please mention what are your main presenting symptoms? How they appeared and progressed? Are these symptoms occur in episode or remain persistent? Any aggravating or relieving factor?

Persistent stress in an individual occur most commonly due to anxiety. Anxiety occurs in episodes and cause significant distress. Some home based methods to reduce anxiety are-

- Have proper, refreshing sleep daily for at least 7 hours.

- Avoid excess tea, coffee or carbonated drinks. Green tea helps a lot in stress.

- Exercise daily for at least half hour.

- Nuts especially ground nuts, XXXXXXX nuts, walnuts etc helps to improve omega-3 fatty acids and thus reduce stress. Salmon or sardine fish are also good source of these amino acids.

- Take diets rich in vitamin B12 like milk, curd, animal foods etc.

- Yoga, meditation etc help to reduce the symptoms.

If these measures don't result in improvement then next choice is medicinal therapy. SSRIs are used commonly for treatment. Fluoxetine, Sertraline, Escitalopram etc are commonly used drugs and help to reduce the symptoms if taken regularly. This will reduce the day to day stress. For severe anxiety low dose benzodiazepines as Clonazeapm or Lorazepam etc help. Please visit a psychiatrist for evaluation and help if needed.

Thanks, Take care
