Suggest Treatment For Pimple With Black Head On Neck

Question: I had a small pimple / black head on my neck. I popped it and it had a strange smell. Is this common?
Brief Answer:
Yes it may smell. Nothing to worry.
Detailed Answer:
Hi
Thanks for your query at HCM.
I understand your concern and situation.
Firstly I would request you not to do it in future as there is chance of infection. The pimples would go on eventually and yes because of bacteria inside it the smell could be offensive. Nothing to worry about. You can use over-the-counter (OTC) pimple treatments often containing active ingredients such as benzoyl peroxide, salicylic acid and sulfur.I would suggest you to wash your face and neck with Benzoyl containing face wash. Avoid taking stress and anxiety. Do not scrub the lesion. Avoid eating oily and spicy food.
Hope I answered your query

Your answer was "Firstly I would request you not to do it in future as there is chance of infection." What am I not to do it in future?
Brief Answer:
Do not squeeze out the pus.
Detailed Answer:
Hi
I meant to say that do not touch your pimple with hands frequently and do not try to squeeze out the pus by using any object or hands. This can spread infection.
Take care
