Question: Hi Doctor,

I have poor vision in my left eye. Few years back i got it operated (C3R) for kerotoconous post advise from Apollo's doctor. Post that I consulted another opthalmologist for poor vision. He suggested that my eye has syndrome called as "lazy eye", hence nothing can improve my vision. Is it possible to improve my vision?

Thanks & Regards

Brief Answer:
If it is lazy eye then improvement in vision is not possible.

Detailed Answer:
Hello
Welcome to Health care magic

I am Dr. DADAPEER K, an Ophthalmologist and I will be answering your question.

I reviewed your history.
It seems from the history that you are having poor vision in left eye. Since you had squint in childhood and you have undergone treatment for keratoconus by C3R in the same eye, there can be possibility of lazy eye or ambylopia in left eye.

The treatment of lazy eye is possible till the age of 10-12 years and after this age the treatment is usually not successful.

Please mention the vision in both eyes and if you are using spectacles the power of the lenses.
Please provide me these details so that I can answer your question accurately.

Hope I have answered your question and the information is helpful to you.
Do write back to me for further questions.

Thank you
