Suggest Treatment For Post Inflammatory Hypopigmentation On Legs Of A Toddler
Question: My toddler has post inflammatory hypopigmentation on her legs after flea bites and a few spots have small hypopigmented scars. I am wondering if this will ever go away and if her skin will return to normal color and scars will fade? She is very young. Pediatrician said it could take up to six months to a year but says most likely it will return color because children's skin heals faster. Is this true it will fade in 6months-1 year? I am just so worried it will be permanent and I don't want my baby scarred. These spots are not from deep cuts but from scratching at the surface of flea bites. I have been putting lotions on to help moisturize and I've been using XXXXXXX butter and sunscreen as well as calamine and hydocortisone for the itch. I am just worried and wanted reassurance they will go away after time and wondered if there is anything else I can do.
