Suggest Treatment For Presence Of Blood In Urine

Question: I am having trouble passing urine. I am seeing some blood in my urine this time. My testicals are very sensitive to movement. Ejaculation is painful as well mild fever

Thanks for your query ,

Difficulty in passing urine ,Hematuria ,pain in testicle and painful ejaculation is most likely to be due to Acute Prostatitis .

Please consult qualified Urologist for clinical and digital rectal examination and get following basic tests done to confirm the diagnosis.
1) Urine routine and culture.
2) Ultrasound scanning of abdomen and pelvis
3) Serum PSA.
4) Semen Examination and semen culture .

In the mean while start taking broad spectrum antibiotics like Cefixime along with urinary antiseptic like Nitrofurantoin twice daily and urine alkalizer thrice daily.Later on switch on to appropriate antibiotics as per culture report.

Get the prescription of medicines from your family Physician.

Further treatment will depend upon result of these tests and final diagnosis.

Thank you. The semen test? This done at doctors visit or can this be taken to appointment? Not sure if it needs to be collected after prostate exam?

You can collect semen at home by masturbation and submit it in laboratory for examination

Collecting urethral discharge after doing prostate massage by Urologist and submitting it for swab test and culture will also help to trace out organisms .
