Question: A week ago, my doctor prescribed a zpak, an inhaler and codeine cough medicine for bronchitis. I'm still coughing and it's productive. I don't have a fever and I don't feel unwell. How long before this cough subsides?

Brief Answer:
Up to 3-4 weeks until the lung's airways regenerate

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

Thank you for using HCM,

It is good that you don't feel unwell, and have no fever, because it is a very important indicative of your situation.

I agree with the treatment you are taking...seems to be the one that evidences suggest.
I would also recommend to drink plenty of fluids so the secretions will soften and the cough will come easy.
The lungs need approximately 3-4 weeks to regenerate the inner layer of the airways. If you are a smoker or have been a smoker it may also last longer.
It needs its time but you will get better.

Meanwhile, if you start having fever, if you start feeling unwell, means that your bronchitis may have gotten complicated with a bacterial infection and you will need to visit your doctor again.

Hope this is helpful.
Let me know if you need more clarification.
