Suggest Treatment For Protrusion From Anus
![default](/r/images/default.png)
Question: I have a large protusion from my annus. I am told that I need an operation where they will cut 2 or so inches from my large intestine (dodineum? is thus spelling correct, am not familiar with clinical terminology,) the doctor who performed a stone removal from (that thing that men have, can never remember the name,) says at 85 no more operations, now is there any support garment for this situation? When I am at rest or sitting down it re-enters my abdomen and all is normal.
Brief Answer:
Piles
Detailed Answer:
Hi Sir,
I have carefully read your query and understand your concern,
You seem to have grade 1 haemorrhoids/piles.
A flexible anoscopy or sigmoidoscopy can be helpful in classifying them into external or internal piles.
Grade 1 piles can be managed conservatively without surgery.
1.Avoid NSAID pain killers,use only acetaminophen/Tylenol.
2.Stool softners like sodium docusate at bed time.
3.Topical 5% lidocaine oit for damping painful sensations.
4.Mild asteringents like hammamelis water to reduce itching.
5.Compression undergarments are not to be used for this condition.
I hope this info is helpful to you,
Thank you
