Suggest Treatment For Psoriasis On Skin And Scalp
Question: Hi, i have psoriasis, I've had it for about 2 years now. I get it quite bad on my legs, stomach, arms, back, chest, behind my ears and all over my scalp. I was just wondering if you could tell me if impetigo causes psoriasis? Or if the medication lithium could cause it? Also not long after i got psoriasis i had small fluid feeling lump behind my ear and it has recently got bigger and feels hard and really painful could it be related to the psoriasis?

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Welcome and thanks for the questions.
Psoriasis is an immunity related illness.
It is not caused by impetigo though impetigo and other infections can precipitate or aggravate psoriasis. Similarly Lithium may also precipitate or aggravate.
The swelling behind the ear is likely to be a cyst. It may also be a lymph node which is breaking down.
It may be better to get yourself examined by a doctor.
Take care,
