Suggest Treatment For Puffy And Swollen Eyes

Question: Hello, I just discovered a lump on the right side of my face near the targus. Its relatively small and doesn't hurt. Earlier this week I had a funny feeling in my right eye, it felt puffy but didn't look swollen, then I noticed that behind my right ear felt a little more swollen than the left and a friend who is an EMT suggested it might just be my lymph nodes. I was working really late for the past couple of weeks at night on my laptop and I have been very sleepy and stressed.
Could these all be linked? I am 30 years old and weigh about 125lbs, 5ft 1inch in height.

Brief Answer:
May be linked...

Detailed Answer:
Hi.
Thanks for your query and an elucidate history.

Noted the history about late working, sleepy and stressed, funny feeling of puffiness in the right eye, swelling behind the right ear, and now a lump on the right side of your targus (tragus) noted today only, and want to know whether all these be linked.

Yes it looks to be a bit interlinked. It is seen many times times that at such situations you noted, once tends to to many activities inadvertently like repeatedly trying to clean or massaging the eyes and / or just putting the finger or something like a pen in the ear... This happens so unknowingly that you may not remember doing this at all. During such acts very minor abrasions occur and allow the entry of the bacteria nit not having an actually visible infection but the lymph nodes do response by a bit enlargement. This is a very natural and physiological process of the body to ward off the infection.

These may in fact be a small enlargement of lymph nodes and need not bother about unless they show signs of redness, pain, tenderness or so.
The body will take care of these too.

I hope I have tried my best to have a legible and acceptable explanation for you to understand.
Please feel free to ask for more or if you feel there is a gap-of-communication...
