Havent seen a pulmonary doc. No other diseases i know of. No biopsy. Rarely shortness of breath. Im on an inhaler and alprazolam, and IB Profen.doc thinks its allergy related which enhanced to pneumonia, but no cough. Recently moved to the country outside the city, where more pollens are definitely present. Mom has asthma. Have constant drainage for most of my adult life, but no cough or too much pressure or sneezin. Im fairly young, but did have stage zero melanoma about 6 years ago. Removed, with no trace on follow ups.g

Brief Answer:
Here is what you need to do

Detailed Answer:
hi,

Thanks for writing back in detail ,

It's good to know that you melanoma is no more there.
Your report suggests that there is something which had effected your whole lung, it can be allergy or it can be an autoimmune disease which effects lungs along with whole body like sarcoidosis .

In my opinion after this report you should pay atleast one visit to a pulmo doctor, although you family history and personal history suggests that most probably this whole this is because of allergy, but still there should be a checkup with pulmonologist , they are expert in lungs and lung related problems.

It will get easy for you to get checkups and followup visits afterwards plus in my opinion ther are findings in your lungs so atleast once you should visit a proper pulmonology facility for your own satisfaction , benefit and proper work-up to rule out dangerous problems other than allergy.

Allergy too will probably need some more medication other than just an inhaler so it's better to talk to your doctor about referral to a pulmonologist so that things can be cleared up. An some new tests can be done if pulmonologist deems then necessary.

You aksed about the next steps so here we go:

1) Get the report checked by your current doctor.

2) Discuss if he needs some more tests after this report?

3) Discuss with him a referral to a pulmonolist for complete lung checkup and work up.

4) Discuss with him if you need any other anti allergy med along with inhaler.

5) Discuss with him life style and protective changes you can do.

Things will be all right just need care.

Wish you a super weekend.

I Hope this answers your question, if your have more queries feel free to ask, otherwise close the discussion and rate it. Wish you the best of health.
