Suggest Treatment For Pulmonary Tuberculosis

default
Posted on Sat, 9 Jul 2016
Question: I was diagnosed with pulmonary tuberculosis about 4 months back.. I am on regular anti-tb medication.

I have already completed 2 months intensive phase therapy with 4 anti tb drugs.
Now I am on continuous phase treatment with isonazid and rifampicin since last 2 month.

The problem is I am having low grade fever in the evening for about a week now.. Mostly temperature is around 99f, but sometimes reaches 100 F. My blood ESR is 22.

What may be the reason.. I am a little worried now.

Note: I joined my office after completing intensive phase treatment.

Thanks XXXXXXX XXXXXXX

Brief Answer:
Nothing to worry about this raised temperature.

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for your follow up question on Healthcare Magic.
I can understand your concern.
Since you are having weight gain and your follow up sputum AFB is negative, no need to worry for this raised temperature.
But better to get done fresh chest x ray. It will mostly improve.
Don't worry, you will be alright.
Hope I have solved your query.
