Suggest Treatment For Pus-filled Bumps Underneath The Armpit
Question: Hello Sir,
I have sores in armpits which tend to last for long periods of time, they are not painful unless touched and they emit puss which smells like fish, I guess it is Hidradenitis Suppurativa(searched over internet and seems similar)
Please suggest me what can be done, my dad recommended me to try candid-b lotion will it help or atleast safe to use
Thank you. XXXXXXX

Brief Answer:
Microbiological testing required.
Detailed Answer:
Hi
Thanks for your query at HCM.
I understand your concern and situation.
In your case as per history the candid b lotion would not be helpful as it appears that you are having bacterial infection. I would suggest you to get pus collection done on swab before applying antibiotics and get gram staining and culture sensitivity for aerobic and anaerobic bacteria. Then according to sensitivity results you must take the treatment. You will need to apply triple action cream locally for about 1-2 weeks. Maintain the hygiene. Do not use any chemical or perfumes.
Take care

Get tests done.
Detailed Answer:
Hi
No I would suggest you not to apply anything before test as it may interfere with results and we will not be able to make correct diagnosis.
