Suggest Treatment For Pustule And Swelling On Vulva
Question: I had pistule on vulva ,the doctor prescribed antibiotics for the same though the pistule did not grow there is still swelling on the vulva and I have feeling it has spread . the diagnosis was follictictus
Brief Answer:
folliculitis
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for the query to hcm,
If there was a follicular infection and you started on antibiotics before it could burst out, it is likely that it would have formed an antibioma or localised organised pus point which would be perceived as a hard swelling as of now which may be painful on compression. The best would be incise and drain the pus and let it heal with secondary intention healing. Else you may use Cold Compression locally to reduce the swelling and promote dissolution and reorganisation of the pustule.
But its always better to get checked by your Surgeon(OBG) for blood sugar check-up and thorough physical examination
Regards
