Suggest Treatment For Rashes Near The Collar Bone

Question: hello doctor my niece is 7 years old. She has a rash near her right collar bone for few days now. Can you please take a look and suggest what can be done?

She has eczematous dermatitis - dry, crusty. re patch.
I suggest for her a topical steroid + antibiotic combination cream e g momate -f cream (contains mometasone furoate 0.1% + fusidic acid 2% in a cream base) Or fucibet cream (betamethasone valerate 0.1%+ fusidic acid 2% in a cream base). twice daily for 2 weeks and hen follow up.
In addition fir itching she may take an oral antihistamine e g teczine 2.5mg/5ml syp, 1tsf once daily at night l

These medications are safe for a child and if used for the recommended duration i.e 2-4 weeks. Only indiscriminate or long term use can have side effects, particularly to momate f since it is topical steroid and can cause side effects if kept using for a long time
