Brief Answer:
Atopic dermatitis. Will settle by 3 years.
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for writing to us.
From your description it looks like your child has possibly atopic dermatitis
Do send some photos for confirmation.
Atopic dermatitis is common at this age.
I usually prescribe moisturiser like dermadew to be applied after bath twice daily
This will prevent skin drying and rash.
You need to try mild local steroids as ointments for a short course and maintain the healing with moisturiser.
Food allergies can be identified by special food specific IgE levels. This helps to avoid triggers for atopic dermatitis.
Wishing speedy recovery.
