Question: Have got rashes on neck, back and behind ears. Had earlier gotten treated for fungal infection 5 years ago. Age 32, gender: female

Hi,

Welcome to HCM...

I read history and saw the photo. It seems that probably you may be having tinea corporis. It is a fungal infection of the skin caused by dermatophytes. It is also called ringworm. You may consult the dermatologist to have perfect diagnosis and treatment.

I would suggest...

- blood test for blood sugar may be done to rule out diabetes melitus
- antifungal like cap Itroconazole 200 mg daily for two weeks
- antihistaminics like Desloratidine 5 mg once daily till itch is relieved
- apply antifungal cream like Sertaconazole cream (you need to get them prescribed by your local physician)

- avoid soap bath
- keep the area dry
- improve hygiene
