Brief Answer:
Start complementary feeds if your child is 6 months old
Detailed Answer:
Hi
You may start complementary feeds if he is more than 6 months old. Start with 2-3 bowls of semi solid food. This can include:
1. cereals: Rice, wheat, ragi, suji, maize, besan etc
2. All types of pulses, fruits, vegetables
3. Dairy products
4. Formula milk like Nan Pro, lactodex, Enfamil, lactogen stage 2.
Prepare them as per your cultural preperation recipes.
Ensure proper hygiene while preparing feeds and giving. Avoid cow's milk, honey and dry fruits, excess salt and sugars till one year of age. Introduce new foods at a gap of at least 1-2 weeks.
Hopefully it will be of help.
Take care
