Posted on Mon, 4 Sep 2017
Question: my wife has major rashes across her shoulders, arms, and legs. I have taken her to our family doctor many within3 months. She has been to an allergist, two different ones, no luck! They "think" they know what the problem is but not wuite sure.

Brief Answer:
Several causes can be there, please send us a picture or two and some more info related to it

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thank you for asking at HealthcareMagic.

I read your question carefully and understand the concern especially being such a long lasting problem.

Rashes can happen due to a wide range of causes and sometimes it is hard to know for sure what exactly is happening. Sometimes taking medications and treatments might help with the diagnosis also.

Was she ever been prescribed any medication, local or oral, if yes, please let me know the details, and how did she respond to them?

Did the doctor discuss any possible diagnosis or cause why she's having the rash?

Does she have other symptoms with the rash like itchiness?

Any fever, weakness of weight loss recently?

Does anyone else at home have similar problems?

Does she have any chronic medical conditions or takes medications for other reasons?

Please send us a picture of two so we can see the rash and have a better understanding of what is going on. You can upload/attach them to the reports section at the right side of this web page.

Has she ever done any tests recently: CBC, ESR, TSH, ALT, AST, Bilirubin, creatinine, fasting sugar, lipids... these would be important to have a general check and know how she is doing in general and might also give some information about the cause of the rash.

Please get back to me with these details and it'd be really helpful if you please send/upload a picture or two to better understand the cause of the rash.

Waiting to hear from you,

Kind regards,
