Brief Answer:
Recurrent Otitis Externa

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

If your son complaining of recurrent boils in his external ear canal from which the blood oozes it is called Otitis Externa with Folliculitis. There are different reasons why this happens like retention of moisture in the ear, cleaning the ear with buds with commercially available buds. Please do not do self cleaning of ears with wax buds. I suggest to plug the ear holes before bath for your child.

Also there check if he has recurrent cold and sorethroat and other upper respiratory infections. IF they are more than 3 a year then you should address this issue with the local Pediatrician.

This recurrent problem can be easily prevented by following the above precautions. Otherwise it can be easily treated with medications both oral and ear drops as well. Your pediatrician will not what suits better for your son as he has regular history of his infections.

Hope this answers your query.
