Detailed Answer:
Hello.
Welcome to Healthcare magic. Thank you for posting your query.

I can understand your concern.

I have gone through the entire post and can understand that you are having pain due to disc degeneration of lumbo-sacral region.

It will take time . But with proper treatment , the pain can be relieved.

I would suggest you to
- Avoid bending forward
- Avoid lifting heavy weight
- Avoid sitting on a lowlying couch
- I would start tablet diclofenac along with tablet ranitidine . I would also start tablet methylcobalamin .
- Apply myalaxin D ointment locally.
- Apply dry heat compress twice a day.
Your doctor can guide on the exact dosage.

Actually sciatica is a symptom. When weakened discs in low back allow excess motion in the spine and cause irritation of nerve roots. It causes pain.

Physical therapy , heat compress , medications will relieve the symptoms and prevent relapse.
Do not worry.

There are other options like epidural steroid injection and surgeries which we keep reserved for late stages.

Hope this helps.
Post any other question.
Regards.
