Brief Answer:
seen ENT physician

Detailed Answer:
Hello and thank you for your question.
The only way to get your tonsils removed is to see an ENT surgeon. If you provide them with medical evidence of recurrent strep pharyngitis then they may consider removing your tonsils.
Surgeons do not remove tonsils today as frequently as they did in the past. Tonsils are part of your immune system and removing them can make you more vulnerable to certain viral infections. However, if they are recurrently getting infected then they may consider removing them in your case.
Have your doctor refer you to an ENT surgeon and take evidence of your past tonsil infections with you to that appointment
Regards,
Dr. Robinson
