Raised IgE levels indicate allergy.
Detailed Answer:
Hello XXXX,
Raised IgE levels are seen in patients who have allergies like in cases of asthma or people suffering from eczema.
You have not mentioned if you have any allergies/asthma/eczema etc.
The repeated throat infection that you are having could be actually due to allergy and may be the reason for raised IgE levels. But as far as my knowledge goes, chlamydia infection and IgE are not related.
The level of IgE is not remarkably high in your case but if you are very concerned , you may take a short course of oral steroids. Otherwise if the IgE levels are very high and person is symptomatic, treatment is with anti IgE antibodies. For these treatment you have to consult a immunologist or pulmonologist.
Though I am not from XXXXXXX but I know there are very good hospitals over . Apollo XXXXXXX is one of them and then there are medical colleges there. I am sure you will be able to find a good immunologist/pulmonologist over there.
There are skin and blood tests to find out various allergies.
Detailed Answer:
First of all you will know if you have any allergy because you will have unpleasant symptoms if you are in contact with that particular substance. Commonest is allergy to dust and smoke. Here you feel uncomfortable, may have irritation in throat or have cough and breathing difficulty if exposed to them.
There are skin and blood tests to find out various allergies. You consult a immunologist/pulmonologist and he will guide you further.
