Suggest Treatment For Recurrent Typhoid Infection
Take medication Zanocin OD for 7 days under medical supervision
Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXX,
Thanks for writing in to us.
I have read through your query in detail.
It is possible that you have a typhoid infection as from IgM tridot results. The weakly positive might be because the infection was in early stage.
Zanocin OD contains Ofloxacin and is a recommended antibiotic for typhoid and similar infections. This is a prescription medication and to be taken under guidance of a doctor as per recommended dose.
The course of Zanocin OD is 7 days at least so you can extend it by two more days. If you still have vomiting then please take medications like ondansetron or domperidone tablet to stop it at recommended doses after consulting your doctor.
Please take rest from work for 3 days if you are are at a job. You must drink lots of water and fresh juices made at home. Please avoid eating outside for two months and use less oil and spices at home for at least 15 days.
At any time if you have high fever, loose stools, pain in abdomen, continuous vomiting for more than a day then please consult your doctor for emergency treatment.
Hope this answers your question. Please feel free to correct any oversight in my interpretation of your problems and discuss them in detail as per your requirements.
Wishing you a quick recovery.
Hope your query is answered.
Do write back if you have any doubts.

Please find details below
Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXX,
Thanks for writing back with an update.
I can find only tridot reports attached.
It shows weakly positive.
Please find my observations below
1. In countries or areas like XXXXXXX which are at risk of increased incidence of typhoid, the protective efficacy of typhoid vaccine 1.5 years after vaccination is about 72%; after 3 years it is about 50%. Therefore taking vaccine will not always protect you and at 2 years 40 people out of every 100 taking vaccine will be at risk of getting typhoid once again.
2. Typhoid is usually related to food and water contamination and this is the way you might also have got the infection.
3. Severe gas problem needs that you take medications to reduce acidity. These are prescription medications like pantoprazole and are taken before food. Please discuss this with your doctor.
4. Endoscopy can be normal and you can still have problems due to gastritis. Please take small meals at regular intervals and avoid fasting. Reduce spices and hot foods or have curds after you have any spicy foods. Ask your doctor if you might have H.pylori infection and take medications for it.
5. Please try for pregnancy after completing this course of antibiotics.
Hope your query is answered.
Do write back if you have any doubts.

Longer course and maintenance treatment works in recurrent yeast infection
Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXX,
Thanks for writing back with an update.
As you have recurrent vaginal infection, it will help to discuss in detail with your gynaecologist and take a treatment that includes an initial 14 day long course of medication and a maintenance plan for 6 months.
The initial long course treatment includes application of an antifungal medication in the form of a vaginal cream, ointment, tablet or suppository for 14 days. Instead of vaginal treatment some patients also give oral medication in the initial phase.
This is followed by a maintenance treatment that includes fluconazole tablets taken by mouth once a week for six months. Some doctors prescribe clotrimazole as a vaginal tablet (suppository) used once a week instead of an oral medication.
Please note that use of long term, high dose fluconazole during pregnancy may be associated with birth defects in infants
You might have to discuss family planning methods with your doctor and choose the best one till your treatment is complete. If your husband has fungal infection then he must also take treatment. You might ask your gynaecologist to help you with methods of genital hygiene and how to reduce frequent yeast infections.
Hope your query is answered.
Do write back if you have any doubts.
