Suggest Treatment For Recurring Acne

Please see description
Detailed Answer:
Hello
My name is Dr Muhammad Ali Rauf & i will look into your problem.
I have gone through your query and would try to help you in the best possible way. There are multiple factor which aggravate the acne. Most common includes:
> Stress
> Progesterone pills
> Hormonal Imbalance
> Particular cosmetics
> Touching the skin with dirty hands
> Medicines like steroids
> Food like chocolates, oily products, sugar, coffee, peanuts, etc
Above mentioned are few most common causes. You can check which particular factor was done in the past one month which resulted in re-acne. I would suggest you following things:
> Continue medication as advised by your treating doctor. If you have not visited a dermatologist then i would suggest you to visit a dermatologist in hospital near your home for detailed examination. A dermatologist for keep a close followup as its a long term treatment.
> Wash face 3-4 times a day.
> Do not rub face with towel
> Drink plenty of fluids including fresh juices.
> Avoid touching face with dirty hands
> if acne is infected then antibiotic ointment would also be required. e.g clindamycin or erythromycin
> Avoid taking facials.
Hope I have answered your query. If you have any further questions I will be happy to help if not then don't forget to close the discussion and rate it.
Wishing you good health !!

Both drugs same/ Resistance generally don't occur
Detailed Answer:
Hello
Thank you for getting back with the query. Co-cyprindiol is an anti-androgen medication. It plays a role in case hormones are causing the acne and at the same time patient also wants contraception. Dianette has also same mechanism of action. You can use either one of them. Resistance generally does not occur if general care is also taken. If a patient comes to my clinic then i use to advise following treatment for acne:
> Azithromycin 100mg once daily for 2 weeks
> Apply clindamycin gel on spots in the day time.
> Apply adapalene 0.1% in very small amount at night only
> Use face wash lotion to wash your face 3-4 times a day.
> Apply sunblock before going out in the day time.
As the above mentioned drugs require prescription so i would suggest you to visit a dermatologist for examination and prescription.
Hope I have answered your query. If you have any further questions I will be happy to help if not then don't forget to close the discussion and rate it.
Wishing you good health !!
