
Suggest Treatment For Recurring Chronic Dry Cough

Question: I have had a chronic dry cough for months. It's like a tickle and dry cough. Have been to and internist, ENT and lung doc. I am taking (2) 40 mg of pantoprazole 2 times a day.Was taking 1/2 that amt. but cough returned.Have switched to Kava instead of regular coffee. Tickle and cough will not go away. I am so frustrated as it seemed to leave and then returned. I am so tired of this! What shall I do?. I am female, age 68, weight is 154 and I am 5'8" tall. Physically I feel just fine.

I forgot to say that I was allergy tested 3 weeks ago. Dust and cedar trees are the only allergens to test positive. Lung doctor thought it could be the triamterene HCZ I have taken for years.
