Suggest Treatment For Recurring Nausea And Vomiting
Question: My 13 year old son has been having recurring nausea and vomiting off and on over the last year or so. He is on celexa and Tenexfor anxiety and ADHD. I have tried having him eat before taking medicine and changing administration time to evening instead of morning but nothing helps. Has had a CAT scan of his abdomen to check for ulcers, etc but it was normal. He's missing a lot of school and I don't know what else to do. A lot of times he says his stomach hurts too. Could the Tenexbe causing the problem?
Brief Answer:
Both are culprits
Detailed Answer:
Thanks for asking on HealthcareMagic.
Tenex is a known gastric irritant. Celexa too has known gastrointestinal side effects. So, irrespective of the presence of gastric ulcers, both these agents are likely to be the cause of your child's complaints.
Let me know if I could help further.
