Suggest Treatment For Recurring Typhoid Fever
Question: I had been Suffering from re-occuring typhoid fever, for past five year. Typhoid fever come once in a year in last five years. Last month also i had been diagnosised as typhoid. I want to know why i cant able to recover from the fever. Plz do suggent what i have do. Last week i had blood cultural test and stool cultural & widal test. I upload the lab test report please explain what is problem with me.

Widal test is no longer a validated test for diagnosis of typhoid.
So do not base your belief on this.
Recurrences of Typhoid is pretty rare.
I suppose you might not have used a right choice of antibiotic for the right duration of time.
This kind of incorrect or non compliant therapy can result in inadequate clearance of micro-organisms causing typhoid.
All i want to advice to you is use a full course of anti typhoid therapy with tab cefixime200 mg p.o twice a day for 14 days.
This can offer excellent cure.
Note-This drug has to be taken only under strict medical supervision
At least 3 high volume(10-30 ml)blood cultures is accurate way of diagnosing Typhoid.
If a blood culture is negative you can rest assure.
