Brief Answer:
Likely fungal infection

Detailed Answer:
Hello and Welcome

I appreciate your concern

The two possible causes are fungal infection and allergy or contact dermatitis. If there is associated discharge then a wet mount microscopic examination should be performed to determine the possible micro organisms responsible. Single dose Fluconazole can be prescribed for the fungal infection. Local examination in light of the sexual history should be performed and STD testing can be offered if any suspected lesion is found. Urinalysis and urine culture sensitivity testing should be done. Antibiotics can be started empirically if the urinalysis shows numerous pus cells. Hydrocortisone ointment and mupiroicin can be continued for now. Antihistamines such as levocetirizine and NSAIDs like naproxen or diclofenac can be used for relief from the burning/itching and pain. Maintain your vaginal hygiene, keep the area dry, avoid using any perfume soaps and prefer the use of cotton undergarments.

Wishing you best of health

Thanks
