Suggest Treatment For Red Itchy Rashes On Body
Question: My husband went in the ocean 2 days ago and has developed a red itchy rash over the parts of his body the suit covered. Today a lump appeared on his forehead. He did not bang it.
Brief Answer:
This sounds like contact dermatitis
Detailed Answer:
Welcome to HCM. It would seem that he has reacted to the suit, was this a new suit, and if not where was it stored? He has obviously reacted to the suit itself, the benadryl will help with any itching. I would wash the suit before using it again if it an old pair. I hope this helps, good luck and thanks.

The suit is not new, it has been worn many times. The rash also recedes during the day and becomes red and itchy at night.
Brief Answer:
This still seems like contact dermatitis.
Detailed Answer:
As long as it does not get worse or spread to more parts of the body I would watch it. Also if he starts to get a swollen lip and or difficulty breathing he needs to rush to an ER. Good luck.

I never mentioned a swollen lip. I said bump on the forehead
Brief Answer:
I mentioned swollen lip as that would be systemic signs.
Detailed Answer:
I am aware that you did not say swollen lip, however, a swollen lip and difficulty breathing are a good indication that the reaction is continuing and getting worse, that is why I mentioned it. Thanks
