Suggest Treatment For Red Patches And Scaly Skin After Contact With Dry Ice

Question: Hello Doctor

My mother got this blood clotting on 18th September due to Dry Ice. Dry ice remain on her skin for 10-15 seconds accidentally this caused this. What should we do to fix it. Please see the picture. She hasn't done anything till now and there is no pain.

Thanks for writing to us at healthcaremagic
I have reviewed the attached photograph and it looks like irritant contact dermatitis.
If I was her treating doctor I would recommend her to apply a steroid antibiotic combination cream like mometasone and fusidic acid cream on the affected areas twice daily for 5- 7 days.
This will resolve it.
