No itching, no fevers, the main patch started about 3 weeks ago, the groin area looks worse due to irritation from rubbing with clothes. Id say i have had a minor sore throat but nothing outside of a cold.
Brief Answer:
“Pityriasis rosea”: suggestions and guidance.
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Welcome to the forum again and thanks for sending additional information.
After analyzing the complete query I can make the possibility of “Pityriasis rosea”. To tell you simply Pityriasis rosea is a self-limiting skin condition which remains for few weeks. It is typically seen in cold weather and more commonly after sore throat. It is characterized by sharply defined reddish to pink, round or oval eruptions. These may be covered by fine scales.
Commonly these are seen over trunk region as we can see in your pictures. There is one preceding big patch and then is followed by similar small eruptions all over the trunk. These may even be found on upper and lower limbs. So if these progress to other sides then do not be panicky for the same. In general the condition remains for few weeks and then subsides by itself.
In my patients I suggest them to apply a topical steroid cream such as mometasone or fluticasone cream. I suggest them to apply in very thin amount so that it should be visible to the naked eye. Additionally an antihistaminic tablet such as Des-Loratadine (Claritin or lorfast) can be taken for 1-2 times or even up to three times if the itching is troublesome. I suggest you to see a doctor to get these medications prescribed and for early resolution of the condition. I suggest you to wear cotton clothes not synthetic one.
I hope this information will help you. If you have further queries I will be happy to help.
"Wish you good health and early recovery from the problem”

I read sunbathing or uv ray exposure for about 15 minutes a day can help? Would you recommend this as well?
Brief Answer:
Make sure if you are not sensitive to sunlight.
Detailed Answer:
Hello young fellow,
Welcome back and thanks for your further follow up.
Regarding sun bath: it is quite fine if you do sun bath. The only part is if you are not sensitive to sunlight. As direct sun light can cause sunburns in sensitive skin persons so be careful for the same.
I hope this helps. I will be glad to answer any further queries.
