Question: Hi, my 2 year old daughter babged her lip and now a dark red spot has formed. Is this a coldsore or can it turn in to one? Just worried as i have a newborn baby

Since there is history of banging the lip, the cause of dark red spot is most probably the effect of trauma.
Cold sore gives small blisters, usually pale in appearance.
