General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi,

Noted your history of severe pain in throat and difficulty in swallowing, cold sores on tongue, lip.
Your history is classical of a condition called aphthous or aphthoid ulcers.
The aphthous ulcers are less than 3 mm and usually heal within 3 to 5 days but if they are large, then are called aphthoid and can take up to 3 weeks for healing.
Hence I would advise you the following:
Consult your Doctor for clinical confirmation and have symptomatic and supportive treatment with anti-inflammatory with painkiller properties, combination of Lycopene, multivitamins, minerals and trace elements.
Apply oral anti-fungal lotion.
Take plenty of fluids orally.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. T. Chandrakant, ENT and General Surgeon
