Suggest Treatment For Redness And Soreness In Penis

My dr?
It may be an inflammatory response.
Detailed Answer:
Hello Jasonebain and welcome to HCM.
As an Urologist, i can fully understand your concern.
You should get a close examination of the penis and surrounding areas of the groin, by a qualified and experienced Urologist.
If your STD tests, like VDRL, HbsAg,and HIV are normal, don't worry.
Also check your blood sugar.
You may also send a photo here, for a second opinion regarding treatment.
It may be only an inflammatory response.
If you notice any discharge, a swab culture will also be needed.
If you've burning sensation while passing urine, do a urine routine and culture test.
For the time being, continue the Doxy course for a week, maintain penile hygiene, and avoid moisture over the penis.
No sex or masturbation, till the doctor has examined you.
Hope your doubts are cleared.

Two full screens enough for STD.
Detailed Answer:
Hi again.
Depending on the standard of the lab, and the minimum tests as mentioned in my earlier reply, two negatives screens are sufficient, for STD.
Painful urination needs an urine culture, to exclude infection (UTI).

Dribble after urinating needs to be examined.
Detailed Answer:
Hi again.
After seeing the Urologist, your anxiety should be over.
The leakage you describe is called post- void dribble. To find out the cause for it, your Urologist will carry out a rectal examination.(DRE).
Also, an ultrasound scan of the abdomen should be done.
According to the reports, the doctor will advise you, about the leak.
If you send a photo here, i can give you an expert opinion.
Wish you well.

Correct your dehydration.
Detailed Answer:
Hi again.
Hope you've consulted a qualified Urologist.
If the redness is due to inflammation, it should subside in a few days.
This is exactly what i advised you in my first reply.
But commonly, one always assumes the worst case complication.
That's quite normal. Don't worry about it any more.
Dehydration is easily corrected by taking 10-12 glasses fluids daily.
You're welcome to clear any more doubts you may have, with me.
Get well soon.

A direct view on a photo needed.
