Suggest Treatment For Restricted Movement On Left Side Of Head And Neck

default
Posted on Tue, 20 Jan 2015
Question: I am would like to know if there is a vitamin &/or mineral combination to take for my present
Health. Also I am concerned about & more impaired than 15 years ago by a 'congested' ,restricted area
That is extending from the left side of my head&neck downward through my left shoulder blade & ribs (along the back).
I remember the neck restriction starting years ago, milder then; before the side & shoulder blade soreness became a regular problem.
I have nasal congestion on and off since I was a baby, had frequent coughs (&cough medicines) and earaches then... The congestion was much less of a factor after a rhinoplasty for about 15 yrs. The last few years the congestion became more hard to relieve and drain again. And I'm having a few left-sided headaches a lot in that eye, that
I had every 2or 3 weeks I guess before the rhinoplasty. By the way, in my first years ,there was a prescription
For iron (according to my mother) added to my bottle feeding , My tongue had to be 'clipped' and it was
Found I had fatty tumors & one was removed from the right shoulder.
I have had ringing in my right ear for a few years .
Also, Even though I was used to eating vegetables ,meat sometimes, and higher-carb foods
All my life, my eating habits have been more marginal in spells in my adult year with what I think
Is a 2-part problem anyway; I have eaten in (alternating) episodes of aggravation & feeling powerless through
The years, And, secondly, after trying for years to find which foods I feel better when eating, I have lost so much sight of Which foods can make me feel better ( less carbs almost removed constant drowsiness, but after leaning on nuts and other foods that I thought were more fibrous, I have ended up more ragged) and am at a total loss of what is better to eat.
The rest of this problem is that I was diagnosed with duodenal polyps and ulcer ,hernia , & a few colon polyps about 1 1/2 years Ago, I have discomfort in throat and stiffer back after a meal (unless it is w/out much carb& small), the Left-sided aches are in my ear & face too, and my joints are drier ( have to get popped or cracked)
so my posture has gotten poorer and very strained.
I also am anxious &/or nervous, don't maintain enough energy in order to get more than a couple of things
Going everyday, probably depressed, and my blood calcium level is always on the high side (the endo-
Crinologist found that w/ low parathyroid function).
I have tried vitamins and supplements like borage oil, flaxseed oil,and others , some with advice of
Doctors; but didn't stay on many of them, maybe flaxseed and iodine was for the longer length of time,
After I couldn't tell whether I was feeling any better or not. (I had a diagnosis of hypothyroidism but my level of TSH got lower, I couldn't tell if I had the issue Thought, and I left off the extra iodine after that.)
I am having problems with memory, sticking to activity until mostly done or going, and abnormal amount of
Insecurity , and I was on anti- depressants combined with neuroleptics for 27 years (I stopped them after I never could bargain with myself and was always 'loopy' feeling.)
(My celiac test was negative)
I think I haven't had a calcium supplement much to speak of, mainly multivitamins that had the carbonate calcium at times; and I am Wanting to use a Calcium/magnesium/Vitamin D that won't be a problem
With the high blood calcium level , if that is something that's advised.
Maybe I have put about all info here. I'm hoping the points can be gotten from how I've written it.
Thank you.

Brief Answer:
Cervical spondylosis

Detailed Answer:
Hello

Thanks for the query

I have gone through the query in detail.
I normally advice my patients with a similar picture of tiredness, loopiness, drowsiness, etc to be on multivitamins with Vit b12, zinc and folic acid in them. Iron supplements can also be taken but if your hemoglobin is normal then it is not required. Becosule Z is one such tablet. It is also better that you are on essential amino acids as well, like Tab Vitamer EA, these will help you with general fitness.

The constant stiff neck is most likely to be cervical spondylosis. I recommend that you get a CT neck to rule it out. Meet an orthopedic doctor for the same.

I would like to know the biopsy report of the polyps that were removed.

Fat tumours also known as lipomas as benign and it almost never recurs so can forget about that.

Stiffness in the stomach after meals points towards gastritis,I recommend that you take a proton pump inhibitor like omperazole once a day before meals for 10 days. If it does not subside then endoscopy has to be done to rule out gastric ulcers.

Continue with a low carb, high protein diet. It is the ideal way to be. Make sure that your fat intake is less than 20%. Adding a banana after lunch keeps your mind alert and your body fit.

I hope I was of help, if you have any further queries please get back to me
