Suggest Treatment For Ringworm Infection At The Arch Of The Foot

Question: what on earth is this on my foot. its in the arch. ive put lotrimin on it and also hydrocortisone cream.

I am Dr Asmeet Kaur Sawhney, Dermatologist.

I have reviewed the attached photograph and it is either ringworm infection or eczema.

I need to ask you few questions:
Is it present on one foot only?
Is it associated with itching, burning or any other symptoms?

Since when are you applying Lotrimin cream and Hydrocortisone cream and are you noticing any improvement after applying the creams?

its only on 1 foot. i apply the lotrimin at night and the other in the morning and afternoon. ive used them both for 3 days. its sore to the touch and occasionally itches. theres kind of hard bumps under it i can feel. i attached 2 more pics

Ringworm infection, stop hydrocortisone cream , continue Lotrimin cream

Detailed Answer:
I have reviewed the newly attached pictures and it seems to be ringworm infection which is a fungal infection.

Stop applying Hydrocortisone cream as it is a steroid and won't let the fungal infection cured.
You can continue with Clotrimazole cream twice daily for at least 3-4 weeks.
3 days is too less a time to notice any recovery in fungal infection.

Moreover wear open footwear, keep the foot dry, avoid sharing of your soap, towel and footwear.
