Oral terbinafine tablets and topical terbinafine cream
Detailed Answer:
Hello. Thank you for writing to us
I have gone through your query and I have also reviewed the Images
I can see red, dry, figurate patches.
They do seem like tinea however I suggest you to get a confirmatory diagnosis with a laboratory; a KOH preparation made by scraping a small amount of scale from surface and visualised under the 10X lens of microscope to look for fungal elements i.e hyphae.
If KOH is +ve, I would definitely suggest an oral antifungal in addition to the topical one, simply because this seems to be an extensive area of involvement.
My choice of an Oral antifungal would be terbinafine tablets 250mg once every day for 2 weeks. Topically, I would suggest a terbinafine 1% cream, to be applied twice daily for 2 weeks.
An oral antihistamine e.g cetrizine 10 mg can also be taken once daily for symptomatic relief from itching.
Terbinafine or Cetrizine do not belong to the category of drugs to which you are allergic.
These are prescription drugs and should be used under supervision of a doctor and after a proper diagnosis has been established by laboratory testing and therefore I suggest that you talk to your General Practitioner for the needful in that direction
