Suggest Treatment For Running Nose, Sneezing And Itching All Over The Body

Thank you so much doctor for your response. I have a follow up question. I am taking glucosamine chondroitin and calcium tablets for my knee arthritis. Will this cause any side effects with the medication ( banocide, cetrizine and vitamin c ) that I am taking for my sneezes and body itches. Also, do you recommend any doctors located in my vicinity (00000000, XXXXXXX - pin code 000000)?
Chronic Allergic Rhinitis and Urticaria
Detailed Answer:
Welcome to Healthcaremagic.
Hi, I am Dr Anshul Varshney , I have read your query in detail , I understand your concern.
You are suffering from a condition known as Chronic Urticaria associated with Chronic Allergic Rhinitis.
This is an allergic condition that body develops in response to any infection that you may had in past like loose motions, sore throat.
Apart from that, it may happen as a result of dust allergy, worm infestation.
Now, to be very honest, this is a little frustrating condition as treatment is time taking, and if you stop the treatment in early course, the condition relapses.
Natural remedies don't help much in this condition. The only natural things that can be considered are the things that can boost up your immunity like high vitamin C containing food amla, aloe vera, green leafy vegetables, fruits and juices.
Steam inhalation, Pranayam also helps a bit in controlling allergy.
Medical management for allergy includes:
1. A long term treatment with a combination of Levocetrizine and Montelukast once daily in night. I usually recommend this medicine for at least 3 months initially.
2. A nasal spray containing Fluticasone for local application once daily in night time. Again, i recommend it also for 3 months.
3. I also recommend a single of anti helminthic drug like Albandazole.
If you will keep patience and take treatment under guidance of your doctor, you will surely be fine.
This is my personal opinion based on details available here. Please share my opinion with your doctor.
If you still have any other query, you may please ask me.
Stay Healthy.
