Suggest Treatment For Severe Abdominal Cramps Post A Gall Bladder Removal Surgery
Question: I am having abdominal cramps and orange stool. Have had my gallbladder removed.
Brief Answer:
For how long has this been going on?
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
I will like to know for how long these symptoms have been going on. Also, how soon did this start to occur after the gallbladder removal? The gall bladder normally stores and release bile which is important in food digestion. Its removal may lead to poor digestion especially of fats. Help supply the above requested information so that I can see how related it has been to the gallbladder surgery before making any conclusions.
I hope this helps. I wish you well. Feel free to follow up with me if need be.

Hi! The symptoms just started today.
My gallbladder was removed years ago. I was maybe in my 30s and now I am 76.
Thank you for caring. I would have answered sooner, but i laid down to rest.

Brief Answer:
I will recommend you monitor only at this time.
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
This is so sudden and short that I will not want to go aggressive. I will first suggest that we monitor to see whether it persists or not. If it persists, then I will suggest that we go ahead and investigate. If it doesn't, I wouldn't bother as it is not uncommon to experience such symptoms briefly and they never recur again and do not suggest any specific disease condition as well.
I hope this helps. I will like to get your updates tomorrow.
