Suggest Treatment For Severe Abdominal Pain And Gastritis In A Child

A fibre rich diet will ensure a good bowel movement and should reduce pain
Detailed Answer:
Thanks for asking on HealthcareMagic. I have gone very carefully through your query. It seems to me that the abdominal pain is not due to the causes like worm infestation. Rather, it seems to be due to imporper bowel movements as caused by constipation. Incidentally, constipation in children has become a very frequently encountered problem these days. The primary reason for the same is lack of adequate play and/or the lack of adequate amounts of fiber containing foods in diet.

It is good to know that you make sure that he drinks plenty of water. But you also need to ensure that he goes to pass stool at a regular time every day (irrespective of whether he feels an urge to pass). This will demote stool holding habits and would promote regular bowel habits.
Let me know if I could help further.

Thank you very much for the detailed review and advise. I will try to see the above mentioned diet is followed. Local Paediatrician told not to use any medication ignore the pain and also told to reduce spicy food and etc. My doubt is is he having and infection or gastritis? Can we ignore the pain he is getting now? Please advise.
A glycerine suppository can be given
Detailed Answer:
Thanks for writing back. I am glad that you appreciated my answer. I would back your doctor's suggestion about not giving any medicine. I do not think that it is due to an infection or gastritis. However, I would insist you to apply glycerine suppository. It has to be inserted through the anus, the two sides of the buttocks are to be pressed tight so that it does not come out. Within minutes the child would possibly pass stool. This should provide relief from the pain as well. I would otherwise insist you not to grow apprehensive about the pain.
