This morning had GED which showed up normal. Meds changed to Bentyl, Prilosec and probiotic. My stools are occasionally pencil thin but mostly mucus and flakes. I am on the toilet at least every 45 min. My pain is twofold, lower abdominal gas pains which break me out in sweats and the upper part of my stomach under my breasts and all the way around to my back. Dr said this morning he thought it was just my nerves? I have been on the toilet twice while writing this. Any suggestions?

Brief Answer:
Possible Severe Constipation,drug induced.

Detailed Answer:
Hello, Madam.

I understand your concern.

I have gone through your query in detail.

You possibly seem to have stage 1/2 acute mild to moderate diverticulitis that have resolved on subsequent endoscopic visualisation.

You have been thoroughly treated so far by your doctors.

At this moment, you seem to have severe constipation. This could have resulted from the use of Bentyl.I advise you to stop this drug.Instead substitution with Sucralfate.

Additionally I recommend 2tsps of Isphagula husk in 1 glass of water at bedtime for 15 days. This will prevent or worsen any constipation and improve stool consistency.

Please check with your doctor if he shares my view and if can prescribe them to you.

Post your further queries if any,
Thank you.
