Suggest Treatment For Severe Acid Reflux
Question: I've had acid reflux, or G.E.R.D, or maybe just a stomach that overproduces acid.
ANY SURGERY that can CURE it so I can get off this @##$$$$ medication, what, with the United STATES OF THE VERGE OF BANKRUPTCY, IF I CANNOT AFFORD MY MEDICATION, I will resort to robbing and stealing ANYTHING to not feel the DEBILITATING burning in my gut!

Hi and thank you for asking!
I read carefully all your concerns and I can say as follows:
1. First of all please try to control stress since it is the enemy of GERD and stomach issues.
2.With regards to GERD treatment. The first line of treatment is medical treatment with PPI"s like omeprasole and pro-kinetic drugs like domperidon plus antacids.
If the symptoms still persist and the diagnose of GERD is sure than surgery is recommended.
The surgery to strength the lower gastroesophageal sphincter is called Nissen Fundoplication procedure.
3.If you have done upper endoscopy ,24 h ph metry of esophagus and the diagnose is severe GERD than you can discuss with your surgeon about Nissen Fundopication procedure.
4. There is no known treatment of GERD with stem cells till now.
Meantime I suggest to change lifestyle diet like :
- eat often and small amount of meal
- use two pillow when you lay down
- eat 3-4 hours before go to bed
- avoid coffee, choccolate and tea
- avoid smoking and alcohol
- increase physical activity
- avoid unnecessary stress
