Suggest Treatment For Severe Acidity

Question: I am having serious acid build up cannot sleep I had catheter ablation March 6 I am taking pantoprazole, warfarin and metoprolol succinate 20 mg I made a serious mistake I quit taking the pantoprazole for awhile
which is why the acid Now what can I do? My doctor says just keep taking the Pantoprazole and it will build up, but I have been doing that faithfully now since May 10th any help?

Well , even after restarting Pantoprezole if you are not getting any good relief you can get Injection Pantoprezole for 1-2 days which shall give good control of acid secretion.

Also for symptomatic relief you can take Antacids before your meals for few days .

I recommend you to get a repeat Upper gastrointestinal endoscopy to look into the status of your stomach and food pipe. Also while doing endoscopy insist for Rapid urease test for H.Pylori. This is a test which detects infection from H.Pylori bacteria which can cause severe and persisting acidity.

Apart from this you need to follow strict diet:

Have food at regular intervals,
Don't skip any meal.
Avoid non veg food.
Avoid carbonated drinks.
Avoid Citrus fruits.
