Suggest Treatment For Severe Acne In An Alcoholic
Question: My son is an alcoholic with a severe acne problem-large blood filled blemishes on his cheeks. The doctor he consulted said it was rosecea, however, it doesn't seem to be quite like that. Is his lack of a healthy diet part of the cause? Could stress bring this on? He had both hips replaced 6 months ago due to lack of adequate nutrition from his liver. He is 29.

As far as rosacea is concerned , there are triggers factors which needs to be identified before initiating the treatment. Poor diet , stress alcohol are the some trigger factors.
In my opinion. , if he can't tolerate the medicine prescribed then it should be changed. Daily sunscreen use and avoidance of the trigger factors are must to treat this conditions. One should expect relapses and remissions in this condition.
