Question: Hello Doctor,
I am suffering from severe pimple problem since more than a year. Showed to a derma 1 year back after getting 2 or 3 pimples on a regular basis. But going under her medication i end up having severe pimple all over my cheeks with dull and pigmented skin.
Now showed to a gynaecologist I was examined very minor pcos. Cyst are present in my Ovary but are very tiny not even of normal size. So she has prescribed me to take XXXXXXX pill for 6 months.
Now I have completed 1 strip and have end up having severe pimple all over the face.

Detailed Answer:
Hi
Thanks for being at HealthcareMagic
I have gone through your complaints and understand your concern.
For severe acne you should go for oral antiacne medication.
If I was your treating doctor I would recommend you to take capsule doxycycline 100 mg once daily at bedtime and apply cream containing combination of adapelene and benzoyl peroxide on the pimples at night for 1 hour.
Besides this use a salicylic acid facewash twice daily.
These are prescription drugs and should be used under the supervision of the doctor.
Since acne is a chronic disease and in your case it is hormonal you need to continue medicines for a long duration.
