i am having really bad heart palpitations. recently thwy have been worse than ever. i started with what i can only describe as skipped beats and i can get them all day. i have wore monitors, had an echo of my heart which came back all fine and no concerns. my palpitations can stop for weeks but two days ago they started and havent stopped. i called an ambulance and had an ecg which was boardaline. i went to hospital and had another ecg which was again boardline but the doctors said stress. i have noticed if i work out for 20 mins my skipped and extra beats will stop. if i relax they come back. i will attach my ecg report
Brief Answer:
The symptoms suggest anxiety as cause
Detailed Answer:
Hello again, thanks for providing details
Your main complaints are skipped beats and palpitations which are not persistent. The tests like continuous monitoring, ECHO and even ECG didn't show any significant abnormal finding.
Even recent ECG as you've mentioned was only borderline. In such situation, we can rule out any cardiac cause easily.
The symptoms like palpitations, skipped beats and relaxation on working out suggest stress as cause of your symptoms. Anxiety can present with similar features. Palpitations, restlessness are commonly seen. Please discuss with your doctor for management of anxiety.
Medicines like low dose benzodiazepines like Klonopin or Xanax can be used on sos basis. The drugs will control the racing heart and will reduce the stress.
Please talk to your doctor for that.
Thanks Take care

did you see my ecg report that i sent dr
Brief Answer:
ECG is normal in my opinion
Detailed Answer:
Hello again.
Yes I checked the report and I don't find any abnormalities in it. The heart beat is fast (which could occur in anxiety too) and short PR interval occurs in rapid heart beat. ST abnormalities are not significant considering your ECHO report. Slight rhythm issues can be seen even in anxiety. So please remain relaxed, don't think about it.
Thanks

my echo was done 2 years ago. so from your professional report do you think anxiety dr
Brief Answer:
Yes it's anxiety in my opinion
Detailed Answer:
Hello again
Yes this is anxiety only.
The relief of symptoms with exercise and your age are against diagnosis of any cardiac issue. ECG too is normal.
Even if the ECHO was done two years back even then I'd stick with anxiety. If you have any doubts you can get repeat echo done. This will too come normal.
Thanks
