Question: I saw a psychiatrists thst put me on lexepro. After about 10 days of feeling terrible on 1/2 pill i stopped taking it. I didn t feel anything until 3 days later. I felt terribly weepy, so sad. Couldn't go to work. I feel better today but still sad. What can i do to relieve the pain of grief. I dont thinkte answer is a pill that ill just have to ween myself off of at some point. Im just exhausted by the pain.

It takes at least 21 days for Lexapro to begin working. Unfortunately, you stopped it before it could begin working. I recommend going back on it under the direction of your doctor. However, if you do not want to use medications, another option for treatment of depression is psychotherapy such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT). This would require finding a licensed therapist.
