Suggest Treatment For Severe Anxiety

Question: I have been experiencing a lot of anxiety due to a number of situations in my life at this time I wenrt and spoke with a physician and he wrote me a script for buspar and zanax, the seem to be working but he will not refill my zanax which I take at very stressful times is there anyway that you can help me.

Hello,
whenever we prescribe xanax or clonazepam along with the main drug- it is just to tide over the initial situtaion and later usually there is no need to take them.

So, if you still have anxiety episodes despite taking buspirone- it suggests that the doasge of the same should be increased. Your doctor is somehow right in not revising the prescription of xanax as it is addictive and habit forming drug and would eventually lead to a problem in its ownself.

So, best will be to ask him to hike the dosage of buspirone and if that is not possible, he may shift you to better drug. There are many wonderful choices available which can help you nicely.
