Suggest Treatment For Severe Arthritis In The Finger

Question: I am male and 53 and healthy other than i have arthritis in my index finger on my right hand. It hurts to use it with any force (opening jars, etc.)

What are ways I can try to mitigate the furthering of this disease or make it hurt less. I need this finger to work better and not hurt when I use it.

Open to any ideas, exercises, medications. Thanks Doc!

Hi,

I have read your query.

If you want to get rid of the pain then, you must get xray of affected hand in AP, Oblique and Lateral view, serum RA factor, serum uric acid, ESR, CRP and send me the report.

From xrays, I want to see the present condition of your joints.

Till then have cap. Rabiprazole empty stomach, tab. Aceclofenac 100mg + Serratiopeptidase 15mg thrice a day, Capsule Pregabalin 75mg + Methylcobalamine 750mcg combination at night.

Don't do any exercise, just apply hot packs for 30 mins in morning and evening.
