Detailed Answer:
Hello!

Welcome and thank you for asking on HCM!

Regarding your concern, I would explain that considering your past medical history (especially throat cancer), it is necessary performing some tests to exclude possible secondary causes (like methastatic lesions), underlying this symptomatology.

Other possible causes to consider would be a viral infection, musculo-skeletal pain, etc..

So, I would recommend consulting with your attending physician for a careful physical exam and some tests:

- a chest X ray study
- a cervico-thoracic spine X ray study
- some blood lab tests (complete blood count, PCR, sedimentation rate).

You should discuss with your doctor on the above issues.

Meanwhile, I recommend taking Tylenol or Naproxene for the pain.

Hope you will find this answer helpful!

Kind regards,

Dr. Iliri
